“Pluma” means feather in Portuguese. Designer Nuno Teixeira took this concept to the extreme with a high performance track bicycle concept that uses carbon fiber and Kevlar to make it incredibly light and strong.

The Ultrasone edition 10 are beautiful headphones. They also cost almost $3,000. From Ultrasone:
“The outer ear cup is finished with galvanic Ruthenium plating and with a Zebrano wood inlay, which is coated with eight layers of clear lacquer for protection. The Edition 10′s inner ear cup, as well as the head-pad, is adorned with reddish brown Ethiopian sheepskin. This type of leather is known for being the most supple leather available, achieving the maximum level of comfort and sound isolation.”

The SIE 43 chair

Pawel Grunert used recycled plastic bottles to create the SIE 43 Chair.
Produced for the ‘Eco Trans Pop’ exhibition of ecological design at the Colombari Gallery in Milan, Italy. The chair is made from PET bottles with a stainless steel frame. The bottles can be easily changed if they show signs of damage. The seat is in the form of a flower. The rhythm of hundreds of PET bottles creates an organic structure. An ordinary form is transformed into an extraordinary form, standard form into a unique one.
